TUESDAY TALKS and COVID19

We're on pause

TUESDAY TALKS is about content and connection. But we are also aware of the need to minimise contact during the current phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. 


Along with AWG in other states, we’re putting a pause on face-to-face for a while. Understandably, our partners are also following current health authority advice. This means AFTRS is hitting pause on TV Talks and The Mercury adhering to recommendations on public gatherings in SA. 

But, TUESDAY TALKS will be back as an event once programming returns. 


Until then, we will continue to share some great content on our Facebook page for the creative community.   


We'll see you online.

WHAT ARE TUESDAY TALKS?

Content and conversation

TUESDAY TALKS featuring TV Talks is Adelaide’s new arts and entertainment screen industry night. Hear the latest from Australia’s leading TV makers, producers, commissioners and broadcasters across the television industry via an exclusive live stream from AFTRS, followed by refreshments and informal discussion.  It is free, with registration essential.

Supporting screen practitioners

Combining content and conversation, TUESDAY TALKS will feature an exclusive live stream of the AFTRS’ highly successful TV Talks, previously only available as a live event in Sydney.  Presented by the AWG SA with support from SAFC in conjunction with AFTRS and event partners The Media Resource Centre, the monthly live stream to The Mercury will be followed by a networking evening.

What are AFTRS TV Talks

Entering its eighth year in 2020, TV Talks is a Sydney industry staple. Regularly drawing a full house at AFTRS campus, TV TALKS topics in 2019 ranged from an update from MIP, making true crime, emerging directions in kid’s tv, and a look at future trends in TV content.
